Effective date: May 30, 2026. Zumergy ("we," "us") operates zumergy.com, a Michigan commercial energy-rebate and lighting referral website. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.

Who we are

Zumergy is a demand-generation and referral brand. We are not a licensed electrical contractor and we do not perform installations or file rebate paperwork ourselves — we estimate your rebate opportunity and connect you with licensed Michigan installer partners who do that work. To do that, we share the details you submit with those partners (see "How we share information" below).

Information we collect

Information you give us through our forms: business name, your name, email, phone number, facility type, your utility, and anything you enter into the savings calculator.
Marketing attribution data, captured automatically when you arrive or submit a form: the page you landed on, referring website, and advertising click identifiers and campaign tags (for example gclid, msclkid, and utm_* parameters), stored in a first-party cookie so we can tell which marketing brought you to us.
Technical data standard to web requests: IP address, browser/user-agent, and timestamps, logged when you submit a form.

We do not ask for or collect financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through this site.

How we use information

To prepare your rebate and savings estimate and respond to your request.
To connect you with a licensed installer partner who can complete your project.
To understand which marketing channels work, and to document the source of each referral for our installer-partner agreements.
To operate, secure, and improve the website.

How we share information

Licensed installer partners. When you request an estimate, we share your submission with one or more licensed Michigan installer partners so they can follow up. This is the core of our service. Those partners use your information to contact you and prepare a quote.
Service providers that help us run the site and our outreach (for example, website hosting and form/CRM tools), under agreements limiting their use of the data to providing those services.
Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

How we make money

Our service is free to you. When you proceed with an installer partner we referred, that partner pays us a referral fee under a documented agreement. This never changes the rebate you're entitled to or what the installer quotes you.

Cookies & advertising

We use a first-party cookie to remember marketing attribution (above). If we run ads on platforms such as Google or Microsoft, those platforms may set their own cookies subject to their privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking them won't stop the forms from working.

Data retention

We keep submissions and attribution records for as long as needed to serve your request, support our installer-partner agreements, and meet legal or recordkeeping needs, then delete or anonymize them.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you've given us, or opt out of further contact, by emailing hello@zumergy.com. Michigan and other U.S. residents may have additional rights under applicable state law; we'll honor verified requests as required.

Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
